Product Overview
The PEX fine-crushing jaw crusher is specialised equipment for material fragmentation in metallurgical, mining, construction and other industrial sectors. It can crush various ores and rocks with compressive strengths below 250 MPa, commonly serving as a secondary crusher in aggregate production lines and ore crushing operations.
Featuring a deep-chamber, dead-zone-free structural design coupled with a shim-type discharge opening adjustment mechanism, this equipment enhances feed capacity while enabling flexible control over output particle size. The motor drives the movable jaw plate via an eccentric shaft to perform periodic reciprocating motion, creating a combined crushing effect of squeezing and grinding. The unit incorporates a lubrication system and modular components, supporting a low-energy consumption operating mode (15%-30% energy savings per unit). It also offers technical advantages including simplified maintenance and effective noise and dust control.
Working Principle
Powered by an electric motor, the eccentric shaft is driven via pulleys and grooved wheels, causing the movable jaw to reciprocate along a predetermined trajectory. This action compresses, kneads and crushes materials entering the crushing chamber, with finished products discharged through the outlet.
Core Components of PE Jaw Crusher
1. Heavy-duty Frame
Serving as the equipment’s foundational skeleton, it employs a box-type welded or cast steel structure to ensure overall rigidity and stability.
2. Crushing Components
Comprising fixed and movable jaw plates, these are fabricated from high-manganese steel and directly engage in crushing operations, constituting the primary wear-resistant parts.
3. Drive System
Driven by an electric motor via pulleys and an eccentric shaft, it induces periodic reciprocating motion of the movable jaw plate to achieve compression crushing.
4. Adjustment Mechanism
Precise control of discharge particle size is achieved by altering the position of the toggle plate through adjustment of wedges or shims.
5. Safety Device
The toggle plate not only transmits power but also functions as a safety pin for overload protection. It fractures preferentially upon encountering non-crushable objects, thereby safeguarding the main unit.
